Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo Week of July 31, 2017

Hope to see many of you later today at Lighthouse Park from 1 – 4pm to commemorate the first anniversary of the worst day in Mukilteo history last July 30 when we lost 3 bright young lights and nearly lost a fourth. It will be a day of peace, soul-searching and comaraderie. We will also be remembering all those lost to suicide as well.
Sad week/weekend all around. I hope you have heard now about the loss of dear Al Dantico on Friday night. He was a cherished friend to many and loved by all. He loved Kiwanis and being a Kiwanian. I am thinking of several ways we can remember Al and all he’s done for us.
I have the opportunity to tour and cruise on the USS Michael Murphy on Wednesday so Past President Scott Whelpley will take the meeting. Attached is the agenda. This week’s speaker is Dan Stearns from Camp Korey so don’t miss it. Pam will talk about the Salmon Bake process and the new t-shirt designs being considered. They are very cool!
Short message this week, lots to reflect on.
