Happy Sunny Sunday everyone!
We had a very successful Pancake Breakfast on Saturday at Historic Flight Foundation’s Aviation Day. Huge thank you to Pam and Gary for all of their help to make it happen, and to Adrian and Joe manning the grills, Joanie as hostess with the mostess, Nora at the cash register, Dana with the Key Clubbers, Daph as our “go to” as no task was too small to tackle, Ron for keeping our line moving. Thanks Captain Dan for getting us some grills and Tim keeping them going, Gary for renting the coffee pots, and our selfless members who loaded and unloaded trucks with all of our stuff and took it back again Saturday night. This event was our first try, and while there are many things to improve, there were lots of happy customers. We grossed over $1,000 and hope to have some earnings info on Wednesday once we know what our food costs were.
This week features our State Senator Marko Liias giving us a legislative update. Agenda attached. There are lots of announcements and things going on, so please read it. Packs for Kids, Clothes for Kids, and the Boys & Girls Annual Golf Tournament need volunteers. If you didn’t help with the Pancake Breakfast, I’ll be looking for our other members to step up to help these organizations.
Board members: Please plan to stay after the member meeting for a quick meeting. Pam needs us to determine our Salmon Bake pre-sale prices for our publicity, and the grant committee should have a grant recommendation to us by then for Watch D.O.G.S. who spoke to us in March.
Have a good week, and bark for the Husky Women’s Softball team!
